We spent another couple of days in Kitchener and this time, we found a house! And it is crazy how the whole thing came about...now everyone sit down and get ready to hear a story from Miss Jennifer...
Our real estate agent in Kitchener is on holidays, so he had someone else take us around, so we looked at houses, and more houses...and no luck. When we got home, Dan's parents mentioned that a couple from their church (who are long time family friends with the Wohlgemuts) were thinking of selling and moving closer to their family out of province. The house was not officially for sale, but the couple invited us over "to take a look". When we got there and walked inside...we just knew! It is a very spacious 4 bedroom, large kitchen home that has been very well cared for over the years. It has a big back yard with some beautiful mature trees (which is what we were looking for!). And all of this was right within what we had budgeted for mortgage-wise! Oh, and it is so very close to a Taco Bell, which is the clincher for me! So as of now, we are in a verbal agreement, but will do more of the official paperwork when we move into the in-laws basement in a couple of weeks! We are so excited, even though in all likelihood it will be February when we move in...we can be patient though! Here are some pics of the front.

And now I have to tell you about the rude surprise waiting outside for us this morning in Barrie! SNOW!!! I'm not ready for this; isn't it only a couple of weeks ago we were basking in 20+ degree weather? It appears as though I will be posting some cute snowsuit pictures of Addison by the looks of things. We stood outside today and she seemed fairly mesmerized by the snow coming down. This is good timing though; the snow waited until AFTER our house sold. Today the buyers are having a home inspection done on the place, and by the end of the week everything should be official and we can pop open that bottle of champagne to celebrate!
And finally, Addison would like to wish her Grandpa S. a very happy birthday! She didn't get a chance to talk to him yesterday, which was his actual birthday, but this is the next best thing! Happy Birthday Grandpa!!

So whose house did you buy? I got Peter to look at the picture to see if it was one he recognized, and he wasn't sure if he knew- it HAS been nearly 20 years since he lived out there. I'm glad it's going so well for you! Happy packing!
