1 day, 2 blog posts...but I just had to!

Recently, Addison went through a "phase" that made feeding her virtually impossible, yet oh so funny! Enjoy :-)

Fun in the summer sun!

Addison is definitely an outdoorsy baby! She loves it when Daddy takes her around the garden each day, plus she loves swimming in her little pool. She enjoys trying to eat handfuls of grass and she enjoys hanging out with mom and dad. We finally moved our Muskoka chairs to the backyard - they've been on our front porch for a while. Dan made them last summer; we really enjoy them - they're very comfy! I think Addison agrees.

The crib shot is Addison when she was supposedly taking a nap. Instead she was having a little party with her Hundred Acre Wood buddies! Silly little girl :-)

Daddy's Girl

Daddy and Addie have been enjoying some good times outside! Addison is just starting to take little baby steps when she's standing up, but she does much better for Daddy than she does for Mommy :-) She finally figured out how to roll from her tummy to her back, but usually only does it in her crib or in our bed - I've had a couple close calls where she just about rolled off the bed - eek! To sum up...we've got to do some babyproofing very very soon - we have a mobile baby who can't wait to move around!

Sick little baby...

In the past couple days, both Addison and I have come down with bad colds. It's definitely not fun having a cold in the summertime; I would much rather have one in winter when I can curl up under a blanket and eat chicken noodle soup. It just doesn't work as well when it's hot outside! This is Addie's first cold, and I can assure you, she is NOT having fun! I think we're nearing the end though; she sounds less congested today, and can breathe easier, but still has a pretty nasty cough. She's still pretty tired too; she'll be awake for an hour or so, then down for 1-2 hours. If I weren't sick, I would be enjoying all of her sleeping, as I would be getting a ton of stuff done. As it is, when she's asleep, I've been taking little naps as well. Thank goodness for vaporizers and Vicks VapoRub!!! They've just become essential items in this house!

Hungry Little Munchkin!!!

These days, everything Addison reaches for, Addison puts in her mouth - even if it's Daddy's licorice! Don't worry, she just got a few sucks out of it before I took it away! She's a hungry little girl...loves her ham and cheese pieces, bread...she even had little pieces of olive last night and loved it! I'm very happy about that one...everyone in my family is pretty picky when it comes to food, yet we all love olives. Go figure! It's been pretty entertaining to see all that she will eat!

Happy Birthday Great-Grandma!!

Dan, Addison and I would like to take this blog-moment to wish our Grandma, Addison's Great-Grandma a very happy birthday! We wish we could be there to celebrate your special day with you, but hope you enjoy spending time with the rest of the family and baby Jackie!! Hopefully we will get to see you very soon.

(Obviously one of these pictures is a little out of season...it is definitely NOT snowy by Niagara Falls right now!! And Addison wasn't even a twinkle in our eye at that point!)

Shot again!

Addison went in for her shots today and I was so proud of her! When she got her first shot, her lower lip went out a bit, but she didn't cry at all! That changed a lot for the second shot; she screamed bloody murder! That continued when we got home; after a very brief nap (aided somewhat by Baby Motrin), Addison proceeded to have a screamfest for 2-3 hours. I was exhausted by the end...actually, so was she! Of course, when Daddy came home it was all smiles and giggles for him!

She is now over 20 pounds...I sure get a workout everytime I carry her around! Can you believe that she is now 7 months old?

Lunch time!

Addison has seen what we eat on our plates and I think she just figured out it's not the same as the stuff we feed her. She reluctantly eats her baby food (blowing LOTS of raspberries while doing so, hence the lack of clothing during mealtime), but absolutely loves it when we give her table food. So the past weekend we've been experimenting a little bit...grated cheese, bits of meat, crackers, frozen bagels, scrambled egg yolk, even pieces of pork souvlaki...she munches it all down. This is the baby that refuses to eat baby food peas, but if I pull a pea out of my soup and mush it up in my fingers, she can't get enough of them! Strange kid!!
