I use those words sparingly - just last week I put away the winter jackets and it turns out we needed them this weekend. But I'm optimistic spring will be here soon.
The past few weeks Addison and I have taken advantage of our time together and done quite a bit of baking. She loves to help out, adding ingredients and turning the mixer on and off. Her favorite (and our easiest) recipe is rice krispie squares. We've done lots of other stuff too, and this past Thursday we made sugar cookies with spring-y colored frosting. It was also one of those projects that had I done it by myself probably would have taken 2-3 hours total, but when you factor in toddler-time, it stretched out all day long (with breaks in between of course!). The cookies turned out great and we've had fun sharing them with her little friends, and Grandma and Grandpa W. as well. And of course, Addison and Daddy and I have had our fair share as well.
Tomorrow, my daughter learns how to make paska...pics to follow!

Aww, she is getting so big! Helping in the kitchen and all...what fun. Can't wait to see the paska pictures. We got to enjoy some already a few weekends ago, my mom was inspired early this year and mmmmmm it was delicious!!
Thanks for the comment on my blog, oh librarian extraordinaire!!! Sounds like the Magic Tree House books are a favorite of many, we'll have to give them a try. I've put in a request for book 1 from the library and will see how Levi likes it. We LOVE Geronimo Stilton, definitely one of our favorites.
Enjoy your spring!! :)
she is soooo big! and i LOVE the new look for your blog, super cute and very Addie like. Does this mean you'll post more often!? :D The cookies look SO good, wish I could sample for you guys. I hope your easter this weekend is great! we're going to Mom & Dad Stehrs next weekend considering my parents claimed this Sunday months ago! (my family seems to always be ontop of this stuff). So I guess Karen & Kelvin will get their first pick of Thanksgiving dinner dates. Love you guys to pieces! And hope to talk to you soon sister. **Hugz for Addie!**
